Recent and current developments include:

2007-2011 - major extension & alteration works to Maternity, Ante-Natal & Neo-Natal.
2010-11 - alteration & refurbishment works to form a new Children’s ward. Will be completed by September 2011.
Musgrave House - alterations & refurbishment to provide office & clinical accommodation. Completed February 2011.
A new Health Records building was completed in 2009.
Pharmacy Aseptic Suite upgrade (for high sterile products preparation). Completed April 2011.
Fire Precaution upgrade works. Annual investment to improve Fire Safety.
A new Community Unit for patients requiring temporary intermediate care was completed in 2010.
A new electrical sub-station & emergency generator house was built in 2009.
The Trust invests every year in Maintenance to improve the safety & condition of its buildings & engineering services.
Ophthalmology. Creation of a Minor Operations room to facilitate, for example, speedier access to Theatres for cataract operations.
2011 - Alterations & upgrade of underground engineering services around L Block.
All major X-Ray equipment is being replaced as part of a new contract with Siemens. X-Ray rooms have been upgraded to suit.
Minerva Day Unit is being altered to provide some Outpatient clinics.
Old Boiler House Number 3 was unsafe & derelict & demolished in March 2011.
