Are there regular public transport services to the hospital?
Greater Manchester Passenger Transport Executive (GMPTE) has all the details of dedicated bus services to the hospital which run both from Bolton town centre and from areas around the borough. With the exception of the 501, buses are hourly, from Monday to Saturday. The 501 is a Gold Service route which run every eight minutes, Monday to Friday, between 7.00am and 5.30pm.
Shared Taxi Service
There are also two passenger-assisted services, available to anyone, which operate a door-to-door service from Breightmet, Tonge Moor, Darcy Lever, Deane and Daubhill. To book, ring 01204-364566.
Indirect Bus Service
If you are travelling from areas not covered by a direct bus service, please contact the Greater Manchester Transport Information Service, 0161 228 7811, between 8.00am and 8.00pm for details of buses to either Bolton or Farnworth town centres. You can easily get to the hospital by the 501 bus service.
Travelling By Train
Bolton train station is on Trinity Street from where you can easily catch the 501 bus service to the hospital.
Anyone eligible to claim travelling expenses can go to the Cashiers' Office in the hospital main entrance, open 9am to 4pm, Monday to Friday.
