Our accident and emergency department already has a dedicated children's unit where poorly or injured children can get the attention they need from specialist staff as soon as possible.
A new purpose-built children's ward is due to open in which will provide the very best care and equipment for children and young people. This will replace the current children's wards G5 and B1.
