Veronica gains patient vote

Consultant Nurse Veronica Hall has been nominated in the Inflammatory Bowel Disease Nursing Awards 2012.

Her anonymous fan wrote "Veronica is so passionate about her role, she has given me my life back".

Veronica, who has been at the Trust for four years, said she didn't know anything about the nomination until a letter came through the post.

"It was lovely that a patient should take the time to do this," she said.

Chief Executive Lesley Doherty has written to Veronica congratulating her. She wrote: "You should be proud that although on this occasion you were not a finalist, to have patients speak so highly of you and take the time to nominate you for such a prestigious award is, in itself, a fantastic achievement".
